Hello, my name is Jemma and I have recently decided to start my own business in dog training. I want to really help other dog owners out there and share my skills and knowledge to actually make a difference!
Experience And Qualifications
Since I was 9 I have trained many dogs, I have experience in pet sitting, dog walking and also grooming. I have always loved the training side as there's so much potential! I have always provided positive reinforcement training due to it being successful and cruelty free. I have defined what this entails at the bottom of this page. I have progressed with my experience and I'm so grateful I have had all those opportunities to better and expertise myself. During this time I have changed techniques in training to see different results so I know from experience the most successful training techniques which is what I will be offering you.
Qualifications: I have achieved a recognised diploma in dog training, achieving a distinction (highest score) via centre of excellence. I have gained a Dog Behaviour and Training certificate via International Open Academy, also completed a course of animal care and management lvl 3 in college which consisted of hands on and classroom training.
What is Positive reinforcement?
It is encouraging a pattern of behaviour which you want to lead up to in a step-by-step method. Also think about children and how they learn (because dogs and children have a similar intellectual ability)
